Introduction
News travels quietly in the Cotswolds, often over a farm gate or in the queue at a local supplier. So when word spread that Parlour Farm Kitchens had closed its doors, many in our community felt the loss keenly. For over a decade, Parlour Farm built a reputation on patient, considered work in some of the region’s most treasured stone farmhouses and manor houses. That reputation was earned, and it deserves to be acknowledged with genuine respect. To the clients who left mid-project, and to the architects and designers who built long-standing working relationships with their team, we understand this is an unsettling moment, whether you were about to sign, already had designs drawn up, or were simply daydreaming about a new kitchen.

A Familiar Face in the Cotswolds
We’re Voga Interiors, based in an independent showroom in the centre of Cirencester. Many homeowners who were talking to Parlour Farm will already know the area we work in, and quite possibly know us too. We’ve spent years designing and fitting kitchens and bathrooms across Gloucestershire and the wider Cotswolds, and we understand this part of the world in a way that only comes from actually living and working in it.
That matters more than it might seem. A kitchen for a Cotswold stone farmhouse isn’t the same brief as a kitchen for a new-build on the edge of town. Low beams, uneven floors, deep window reveals, chimney breasts that weren’t put there with symmetry in mind: these are the everyday realities of period properties round here. They call for a designer who has actually stood in these rooms and worked out how to make them function beautifully, who knows the particular language of a period farmhouse kitchen, the deep pantry, the boot room off the back door, the Belfast sink beneath a low window, and knows how to honour that language while quietly improving the way the room actually works.
Contemporary Roots, Traditional Results
Voga has built its reputation on contemporary design, and we’re proud of that. But precision is not a style. It is a discipline, and it translates just as naturally to a Georgian rectory as it does to a glass-fronted new build. Traditional joinery depends on proportion. A well-built dresser, a run of Shaker cabinetry, a bank of hand-painted units along an uneven stone wall, all rely on the same exacting standards we bring to our contemporary work: level datums, considered sightlines, and cabinetry engineered to sit comfortably within walls that were never built with a spirit level in mind.
The skills behind a beautifully engineered handleless kitchen and the skills behind a well-proportioned Shaker kitchen are closer than people often assume. An eye for proportion, light and flow works whether the cabinetry is sleek and minimal or painted and framed, and the precision-engineered systems we install every day hold to the same exacting tolerances whichever finish sits on top of them. So while our portfolio to date leans contemporary, that same rigour already adapts naturally to genuine Cotswold stone and period features when a client asks for it. Traditional and heritage-style kitchens are a real extension of what we do well, not a new direction we’re trying on.
